المستخلص: تهدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات في ضوء نظرية الذات ل(كارل روجرز) لدى أفراد المجتمع العماني في ظل جائحة كورونا كوفيد 19. وكذلك تعرف الفروق في مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي وفق متغير النوع الاجتماعي، وطبيعة العمل، والعمر. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (311) منهم (157) الذكور، و(154) الإناث. وتم تطبيق استبانة لقياس مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود مستوى عال جدا في التوافق الاجتماعي لدى أفراد المجتمع العماني. ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي لدى أفراد المجتمع العماني تعزى لمتغير طبيعة العمل لصالح الموظفين. وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي ومتغير العمر في مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي. وأوصت الدراسة بأهمية تعزيز مستوى التوافق الاجتماعي لدى أفراد المجتمع العماني في مواجهة التحديات والقضايا الاجتماعية بالاستفادة من مبادئ وتطبيقات نظريات علم النفس في ظل جائحة كورونا. وأوصت كذلك بإجراء المزيد من البحوث والدراسات في التوافق الاجتماعي وفق متغيرات متنوعة ومتعددة لدراسة الشخصية باستخدام أدوات ومقاييس جديدة في ظل هذه الجائحة.

The study aimed to identify the level of social compatibility and its relationship with some variables in light of the self-theory of (Carl Rogers) among the members of Omani society during the spread of COVID-19. It also identifies the differences in the level of social compatibility according to the social gender variable, the nature of work, and age. The sample of the study consisted of (311) people: (157) males, and (154) females. A questionnaire was applied to measure the level of social compatibility. It included (36) items, distributed into three dimensions: the first (psychological) dimension, which included (12) items, and the second (personal) dimension, which included (12) items. The third (social) dimension included (12) items. The results of the study indicated that there is a very high level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society. There are no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable and the age variable in the level of social compatibility while there are statistically significant differences in the level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society due to the variable of the nature of work for the benefit of employees. The study recommended the importance of enhancing the level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society in facing challenges and social issues by making use of the principles and applications of psychology theories during the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. It also recommended conducting more research and studies on social compatibility according to various variables to study personality using new tools and measures during this pandemic.
