The present study aimed to identify the most important practices that can be followed by strategic leadership in the international food industry companies in the food, beverage and tobacco sector in Kuwait in order to enhance their competitiveness in light of the intense competition from international food producers. And determine the extent of their contribution to the development of their competitiveness. The study sample consisted of (147) single members of the boards of directors, directors of departments, heads of departments, (13) companies, and the study was based on the analytical description method and a questionnaire as a basic tool and the study reached the following results: 1. There is a positive relationship between competitiveness and defining the strategic directions of the work system. 2. There is a positive relationship between competitiveness and the development of ethical methods and practices. 3. A positive relationship between competitiveness and capital development. 4. There is a positive relationship between competitiveness and supporting and strengthening the organizational culture. 5. A positive relationship between competitiveness and vision and vision for the future. 6. There is a positive relationship between competitiveness and the choice and development of future generations leaders (future leaders). 7. A positive relationship between competitiveness and the choice and support of creativity and innovation.
