|b The use of young Tunisians of new technologies and social media sites made available on the Internet reveals a major political issue whose content carries an identity dimension affecting their participation in public affairs. This digital political participation raises a number of burning issues, including fair and equal access to Internet services and the possibility of using this digital space as a factory of opinion, putting democracy at many and varied risks. Although the political participation of young people has taken on a new dimension through the digital and technological contribution to politics, it still faces potential obstacles affecting the quest of young people for political and social recognition as social actors. The limits of this participation via the Internet is one of the risks facing democracy itself, especially since it is already facing the rapid rise of populist power discourse in Tunisia.

|d L’utilisation des jeunes tunisiens des nouvelles technologies et des sites sociaux mis à disposition par Internet révèle un enjeu politique majeur dont le contenu porte une dimension identitaire affectant leur participation aux affaires publiques. Cette participation politique numérique soulève un certain nombre de questions épineuses, notamment l’accès équitable et égal aux services Internet en plus de la possibilité d’utiliser cet espace numérique comme fabrique d’opinions, mettant la démocratie face à des risques nombreux et variés. Bien que la participation politique des jeunes ait pris une nouvelle dimension de par la contribution numérique et technologique au fait politique, elle reste confrontée à des entraves potentielles affectant la quête des jeunes d’une reconnaissance politique et sociale en tant qu’acteurs sociaux. Les limites de cette participation via internet est l’un des risques qu’affronte la démocratie elle-même, surtout qu’elle fait face déjà à la montée rapide du discourspouvoir populiste en Tunisie.
