المستخلص: على مدى أكثر من ستة عشر عاما تربعت زيارة أربعينية الإمام الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب عليهما السلام سبط الرسول محمد عليه وعلى آله السلام على قمة قائمة أكبر التجمعات البشرية على وجه الأرض ذلك أنه ومنذ عام ٢٠٠٣م يتجمع أكثر من ٢٠ مليون إنسان عراقي مع عدة ملايين من الضيوف الأجانب القادمين من (٦٠) دولة أجنبية للمشاركة في إحياء ذكرى استشهاد الإمام الحسين في معركة الطف عام ٦١ هجرية، وشكل هذا التجمع ظاهرة اجتماعية أخلاقية وإنسانية مؤثرة تركت أبعادا إيجابية جديرة بالرصد والدراسة والبحث والتوقف عندها بعد فرزها لحالات رائعة وأبعاد إيجابية من شأنها أن تشكل دافعا قويا للنهوض بمجتمعنا إلى مصاف المجتمعات المتقدمة، أن تطور أرقام الزائرين الأجانب بشكل كببر يفتح الباب على مصراعيه لوضع الخطط المستقبلية لاستقبال أعداد مضاعفة في السنين القادمة وإنشاء مشاريع خدمية وسياحية وتنموية عملاقة من شأنها توفير العملات الصعبة الضخمة وتشغيل الأيدي العاملة وتنمية البلاد لو أحسن استخدامها إذ أن هذه الزيارات سواء كانت من داخل القطر أو خارجه تعد موردا مهما من موارد الدخل القومي كونها تسهم في الحصول على العملات الصعبة كما أنها قد تدفع بالسياحة الدينية نحو تحقيق المزيد من المكتسبات التنموية للعراق وتحفيز مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية من النقل والزراعة والصناعة وتضفي طلبا مضاعفا على مختلف السلع"، وبالتالي يستوجب إنشاء وحدات سياحية خدمية جديدة كالفنادق والأسواق ووحدات إنتاجية زراعية في مجالات الغذاء والصناعة وبذلك تضفي دورة حقن اقتصادي يتم الاستعداد لمدة عام كامل حتى يتم تلبيتها في موعد الزيارة وخاصة مع تزايد أعداد الزائرين المحليين والدوليين.

It may also push religious tourism towards achieving more developmental gains for Iraq and stimulate the various economic sectors of transportation, agriculture and industry, and add a double demand for various commodities. Therefore, new tourism service units such as hotels, markets, and agricultural production units in the fields of food and industry should be established, thus adding an injection cycle. Economic The preparation is made for a full year in order to be met at the time of the visit, especially with the increasing number of local and international visitors.
