|a "تحظى الزيارة في الفكر الشيعي بفهم أعمق وأوسع منها عند سائر المسلمين، فهي تمثل جزء من الهوية المذهبية الأمامية، لما تعكسه من الولاء والارتباط بأئمة المذهب ورموزه، كما أنها تمثل بالنسبة للأمامي ضربا من الوفاء لأئمته، وتكرارا للبيعة لهم بالولاية، وإعلانا للبراءة من أعدائهم. وهي تتم في طقوس يردد فيها الزائر في حضرة المزور أو عن بعد حسب الظروف بعض الأدعية والأذكار والمناجات التي نقلت عن أئمة المذهب أنفسهم. ولأهميتها بالنسبة للأمامي الاثنا عشري دونها رجالاتهم في كتب مستقلة أو ضمنوها في كتبهم الأصولية التي تتعلق بالمذهب، وتأتي تلك الأهمية من أمور عدة ابرزها: أنها تمثل وسيلة ناجعة وسهلة في تبليغ الدين بأصوله وفروعه على وفق منظور الأمامية، وجعل منها وسيلة تواصل بين الأئمة والاتباع وبين المذهب والاتباع، نظرا لما تمتاز به من سلاسة في المعنى وجاذبية في كلام وسهولة في الحفظ، كما جعلوا منها وسيلة إعلامية يطلون بها على اتباعهم لبيان حقوقهم المسلوبة، وكشف مظلوميتهم، وتعرية أعدائهم أمام اتباعهم وغيرهم من المظللين. كما وان أهمية دواعي التدوين تأتي من أنها صادرة من إملاءات أئمتهم الذين يحضون بمكانة مقدسة لدى الاتباع، فضلا عن أنها تمثل تراثا اماميا يستدعي الحفاظ عليه."
|b "The pilgrimage “Ziyarah” enjoys a deeper and broader understanding in the Shiite thought than among other Muslims, as it represents a part of the Imamate sectarian identity, due to its reflection of loyalty and association with the imams and symbols of the doctrine, an example of loyalty to those Imams, and a an affirmation to allegiance to them and disowning of their enemies. The Ziyarah is carried out as rituals in which the pilgrims recite in the holy shrines or from a distance -according to the circumstances-, some of the supplications and prayers that were reported from the imams of the sect themselves. Due to its importance for the Twelver Imamate followers, their scholars notated the Ziyarahs down in separate books or included them in their fundamentalist doctrine-relate books. That importance comes from several things, most notably: It represents a useful and easy way to deliver the religion’s origins and branches according to the perspective of the Imamate. It also a means of communication between imams and followers, and between doctrine and followers,, given its smoothness in meaning, attractiveness in speech, and easiness in memorization, as well as its role as a media outlet by which they would oversee their followers to demonstrate their stolen rights, uncover the injustice practiced against them, and to expose their enemies. The importance of scripting comes from the fact that it was issued by the dictates of their imams, who hold a sacred place within the followers, as well as it represents an Imamate legacy that requires preservation."
