المستخلص: "بانتهاء دور المربية مع الطفل يسلم إلى البيداجوج الذي كان رفيقاً دائماً له طوال فترة طفولته وأحياناً يستمر معه حتى مرحلة بلوغه. كما كان مربيه الفاضل، وحارسه الشخصي، ومرشده في الحياة، وقد ارتبط الطفل بالبيداجوج أكثر من أي شخص آخر. لكن هذه العلاقة لم تكن مثالية دائما؛ فأحياناً استشهدت النصوص الأدبية بقسوة البيداجوج. اكتسب البيداجوج الإغريقي شهرة لكونه ناضجاً وكبيراً في السن. وقد كتب معظم الكُتاب عنه بإعجاب، وذكروا أن كثيرين منهم حصلوا على حريتهم نظير خدمة رعايتهم للأطفال، حتى إن لم يحصلوا على الحرية، مُنح بعضهم مناصب شرفية وبقوا جانب الأطفال الذين قاموا برعايتهم لسنوات عديدة، وهو ما يؤكد أن العلاقة بين البيداجوج والطفل كانت فريدة من نوعها. كان البيداجوج في الأصل بعيداً عن وظائف المعلم أو السيد، ومع ذلك، فإن ظهور وظيفة ""البيداجوجية"" صاحب التطور التاريخي لدولة المدينة اليونانية. وبهذا كان للبيداجوج دور رئيس في بناء دولة المدينة بجانب دوره الأسري الفعال."

"By the end of the role of nurse with the child, he is handed over to the pedagogue, who was a constant companion to him throughout his childhood, and sometimes continued with him until his adulthood. He was also his virtuous breeder, guardian, and guide in life, and the child was associated with the pedagogue more than anyone else. But this relationship wasn't always perfect; sometimes literary sources cited the cruelty of pedagogue. The Greek pedagogue gained fame for being mature and old. Most of the writers wrote with admiration about him, and they mentioned that many of them obtained their freedom in return for the service of caring for children, even if they did not get freedom, some were granted honorary positions and remained on the side of the children who took care of them for many years, which confirms that the relationship between the pedagogue and the child It was unique. Pedagogue was originally far from the functions of teacher or master; however, the emergence of the ""pedagogical"" job accompanied the historical development of the Greek city-state ""Polis"". Thus, the Pedagogue had a major role in building the city-state, in addition to his effective role in the family."
