In Algeria and since the promulgation of Law 81.01 of 7/02/1981, a movement of private investment affects, the city of Ain Fakroun, is transformed into a center specializing in the sale clothes. The profit from this trade is invested in the housing sector .The spatial and architectural metamorphosis are spectaculars, transforming the village of Aïn Fakroun from a small agricultural city to a well-known commercial pole that is nationally and internationally important. Outside, Fakrouni businessmen have invested in other cities generating the production of a new kind of habitat, and creating a new pattern for investment in buildings by making radical or partial changes to the existing colonial individual dwellings, and transforming them into huge commercial centers called bazaars. This article studies this phenomenon by looking for the impact and the role of actors in these radical changes of the urban cityscape of the city of Aïn Fakroun. En Algérie et depuis la promulgation de la loi 81.01 de 7/02/1981 autorisant l’achat des biens vacants par leurs occupants et la libération du commerce international, un mouvement d’investissement privé touche les tissus urbains existants et aussi les extensions ex nihilo. La ville Ain Fakroun, village colonial de l’Est algérien, est transformée en un pôle spécialisé dans la vente des vêtements du prêt à porter à bas prix. D’abord lieu de stockage et de redistribution des marchandises importées de l’Asie et de la Turquie. Le profit issu de ce commerce est investi dans le secteur de l’habitat dans et ailleurs de la ville. La métamorphose spatiale et architecturale est spectaculaire faisant passer le village d’Ain Fakroun d’un statut de grosse bourgade à celui d’une ville en devenir. Cet article étudie l’impact et le rôle des acteurs (commerçants, importateurs…) dans ces changements radicaux du paysage urbain de la ville d’Ain Fakroun. |
