نتناول في هذا البحث، المشروع الذي تبنته المكتبة الجامعية في جامعة منتوري – قسنطينة، والمتمثل في رقمنة الرسائل الجامعية المتوفرة في هذه المكتبة، قصد إتاحتها عبر الشبكة المحلية إنترانت (Internet) كخطوة أولية خدمة للباحثين من داخل الجامعة، في انتظار إمكانية توزيعها بصفة أوسع على الشكبة العالمية إنترنت (Internet) وتعميمها على كل المستخدمين. تهدف المكتبة إلى تيسير إمكانية الوصول عن بعد لهذه الرسائل بالنص الكامل، وتمكين القراءة من الاطلاع عليها والبحث فيها دون عناء. نريد من خلال هذا البحث أن نسلط الضوء على الحقائق المحيطة بهذا المشروع الذي وضعته المكتبة نصب أعينها، إيماناً منها بأهمية الرسائل الجامعية، سواء بالنسبة للإطار التنظيمي للقسم الخاص بهذا النوع من الوثائق، أو المكتبة نفسها، أو بالنسبة للمستفيدين وخاصة الباحثين منهم. تتمثل أهمية الرقمنة في توفير إمكانية الاطلاع عن بعد على مصادر المعلومات، وكذا حفظ الوثائق بصفة مستديمة، الشيء الذي قد نفتقده حين يتعلق الأمر بالوثائق في شكلها الورقي، حيث كثيراً ما تكون معرضة للتلف، أو الضياع. وتعتبر ظاهرة الرقمنة كأحدث وأنسب وسيلة ينبغي الاعتماد عليها للسيطرة والتحكم الجيد في تسيير وتنظيم وتوزيع الرسائل والمذكرات الجامعية. قامت المكتبة الجامعية في جامعة منتوري – قسنطينة، بتحديث رصيدها الوثائقي والذي تعتبر الرسائل الجامعية جزءاً لا يتجزأ منه. بدأت هذه المكتبة بإدخال تقنية الحاسوب على مختلف العمليات الإدارية، ثم المكتبية بما تشمله من عمليات فنية وما تتطلبه مراحل السلسلة الوثائقية، الشيء الذي ساعدها على التفكير في عملية الرقمنة. يبدأ البحث بإعطاء لمحة تاريخية حول الرسائل الجامعية، التي تعد جزءاً لا يتجزأ من تاريخ المكتبات في الجامعات. ثم يتعرض لخطوات التحديث بدءاً بالفهارس المؤتمتة، فقاعدة البيانات المتاحة على الخط والتي تسمح بالاطلاع على مستخلصات الرسائل، فمرحلة إلزام الباحث بتقديم نسخة من رسالته على قرص مضغوط، وصولاً إلى المرحلة التجريبية لرقمنة الرسائل الجامعية. يتطرق البحث إلى مجمل التفاصيل الخاصة بسير العملية، موضحاً أهدافها، وجوانبها الإيجابية التي من شأنها أن تسهم في إنجاح المشروع من جهة، والصعوبات التي قد تتسبب في عرقلته من جهة أخرى.
This research is about the project adopted by the university library in the university of Mentouri - Constantine, concerning the digitalizing of theses available in this library, in the aim of distributing them on the local network (Intranet) as an initial step, in the service of searchers from within the university, waiting for the widest possible distribution on the World Wide Web (Internet) and serving all users. The library aims to facilitate remote access to the full text of theses and to enable readers to access them and search without trouble. We want by this research to clarify the facts surrounding such a project and show how the library has a strong belief in the importance of theses, both for the regulatory framework of the department of this type of documentation or for the library itself, as well as for the users, especially the searchers. The importance of digitalization is providing access to remote sources of information, as well as archiving of documents on a sustained basis, which may miss when it comes to documents in paper form; which are often susceptible to damage, or loss. The phenomenon of digitalization is considered as the newest and the most appropriate means should be relied upon, to better control in the management, organization and distribution of dissertations. The university library at the university of Mentouri — Constantine updated its documentary resources, which the theses are an integral part of them. This library started introducing computer technology in various administrative processes and then the library work, including technical processes and the required documentary chain, the thing that helped the library think in the process of digitalization. Our search begins by giving a historical overview on theses which are part of the history of libraries in the university. Then it presents the steps of updating: automated catalogs, online data e bases which allow access to abstracts of theses. Then the phase in which the searcher is required to submit a copy of his these (CD form), ending with a pilot phase: digitalizing of theses. The search gives ails the details about the progress of the process, explaining its objectives and its positive aspects that would contribute to the success of the project on the one hand, and the difficulties which may cause obstruction, on the other hand.
