من خلال الغوص في نصوص السنة المطهرة المتعلقة بأدب الحديث، فقد بينت الدراسة من خلال حيثياتها أهمية الكلمة الطيبة وعظيم أثرها واستمرار خيرها، وبين خطورة الكلمة الخبيثة وجسيم ضررها وضرورة اجتثاثها. كما اتضح من خلالها أن اللسان من أعظم الجوارح أثرا، وأشدها خطرا، فإن استعمل فيما يرضي الحق، وينفع الخلق، كان من أكبر أسباب السعادة والتوفيق لصاحبه في الدنيا والآخرة، وإن استعمل فيما يسخط الجبار، ويضر بالعباد، ألحق بصاحبه أكبر الأوزار وأعظم الأضرار. وقد أشارت إلى أن ضبط اللسان هو من أصعب الأعمال التي تأخذ حيزا كبيرا من المجاهدة والمصابرة بغرض الوصول إلى تحقيقه في النفس، وأن استقامة الجوارح والأعضاء لا تكون ما دام اللسان يتفلت في المحاذير والمكاره. وأعظم من هذا استقامة القلب! فإن الشريعة أناطت استقامة القلب باستقامة اللسان، وجعلتهما قرينين متلازمين. وأن مما ينبغي الاعتناء به التعود على سلوك الصمت حال الفتنة، وحال التباس الحق بالباطل، لأنها مواطن الخصومات وهدر المال والدم، حتى لا يعلق في الذمة شيء من هذه الخصومات الضبابية، وإن هذا السلوك الصالح سيورثه صلاحا في سائر الأعمال والجوارح، بل وصلاحا ورقة في القلب.

She pointed out that controlling the tongue is one of the most difficult actions that take a great deal of struggle and perseverance in order to reach its realization in the soul, and that the uprightness of the prey and organs is not as long as the tongue escapes in the prohibitions and dangers. And greater than this straightness of heart! For the Shari'h entrusted the integrity of the heart with the integrity of the tongue, and made them two closely related companions. And that what should be taken care of is getting used to the behavior of silence in the case of strife, and the state of confusion of truth with falsehood, because it is the site of disputes and waste of money and blood, so that nothing of these ambiguous disputes will be stuck in the debt.
