المستخلص: تطرح الورقة قضية الوساطة وإعادة النظر في دور الوسيط داخل المكتبات ومرافق المعلومات بعد اكتساح تكنولوجيا المعلومات لها والتطورات التي حصلت بها في العقود الأخيرة. لقد أدت التحولات إلى تغيير عميق في أنماط نقل المعارف ليصبح النفاذ إلى المعلومات، بالنسبة للمستفيد، مباشرا ويسيرا ودون الحاجة في أحيان كثيرة إلى مساعدة لدرجة أننا نتحدث عن "التخلص من الوساطة" وإزاء هذه النظرة الطوباوية أو الخيالية التي تريد "مكننة" المجتمع بواسطة التكنولوجيا وجعل أفراده يتعاملون مباشرة دون وساطة بشرية تساءلنا عن التحولات الحاصلة في عدة مهن تعمل على ربط الفكر بالفكر والإنسان بالإنسان على غرار مهن التدريس والنشر والصحافة والمكتبات. تخلص البحث إلى ضرورة إعادة التعريف بالوساطة ودور ناقلي المعرفة في البيئة الرقمية، ويتوصل إلى أن الوساطة التوثيقية الرقمية ما هي إلا امتداد للوساطة التوثيقية التقليدية. إلا أن " إعادة الوساطة" في المكتبات لا يمكن أن يتم إلا على أساس كفاءات عالية وملامح جديدة لاختصاصيي المعلومات.

Library mediation needs to be reconsidered especially with the expansion of information technologies and Web 2.0 that have not only changed the way knowledge is transmitted but also made access to information easier and more direct. That is why we may talk today about disintermediation. Facing this technical utopia that wants to instrumentalize society and create a direct society, without "human" mediation, we address issues about the changes in the different professions that try to connect people, minds and communicate knowledge including teachers, journalists, scientists, publishers, librarians, etc. In the field of information and documentation, a redefinition of the mediation of knowledge is needed. Digital documentary mediation, which is centered on the public, is just a continuation of classical documentary mediation. However, information reintermediation can only be done on the basis of new professional profdes and new skills.

La médiation en bibliothèque est remise en cause avec l’expansion des technologies de l’information et du Web 2.0 qui ont bouleversé les modes de transmission des savoirs et ont rendu 1‘accès à 1‘information plus facile et plus direct à tel point qu’on parle de désintermédiation. Face à une utopie technicienne qui veut instrumentaliser la société et créer une société directe, sans médiation « humaine » on s’est interrogé sur les mutations des professions qui s’emploient à relier les hommes, les esprits et communiquer les savoirs : les métiers d’enseignants, de journalistes, de passeurs de la science, d’éditeurs, de bibliothécaires, etc. Dans le domaine de l’information-documentation, une redéfinition de la médiation des savoirs s’impose. La médiation numérique répond aux besoins des publics si bien et est donc le prolongement de la mediation documentaire classique. Toutefois, la reintermediation informationnelle ne pent s’effectuer que sur la base de nouveaux profds professionnels et de nouvelles competences.
