المستخلص: Reading is an important activity in a world where education is an obligation. For this reason many scholars are concerned with creating, discovering, and developing methods and techniques that make it easier and easier to read. Fast reading is one of today's techniques that seeks to create a reader with a perfect ability to concentrate, increasing its performance and optimizing not only its reading speed, but especially its understanding of the text, which is actually the purpose of reading. So this article aims to show the importance of reading comprehension, and also to explain what rapid reading is, how it was created, and how it can increase understanding of the text.

La lettura è un’attività importante in un mondo in cui l’istruzione è un obbligo. Per questo motivo molti sono gli studiosi che si occupano di creare, scoprire, e sviluppare metodi e tecniche che rendono più facile ed efficiente la lettura. La lettura veloce è una delle tecniche odierne che cerca di creare un lettore con una perfetta capacità di concentrazione, aumentando il suo rendimento ed ottimizzando non solo la sua velocità di lettura, ma specialmente la sua comprensione del testo che è in realtà lo scopo della lettura. Quindi il presente articolo cerca di mettere in evidenza l’importanza della comprensione della lettura, e di spiegare anche che cosa è la lettura rapida o veloce, come è nata, e come puo‘ aumentare la comprensione del testo.
