Also, Sirte and Leptis Magna and Berniq, Ajdabiya and Tolmeita in Cyrenaica and its role in establishing Mediterranean commerce especially with southern European cities as Venice, Genoa and Pisa as well as Sicily. These cities gained privileges for the safety of its merchants on Libyan land based on official decrees with Tripolitania masters during Islamic Era. This had a positive impact on people in Tripolitania as many merchants and capitalists emerged and helped in energizing monetary treatments between Tripolitania and Southern European cities, as result, they knew the Libyan Dinar as well as Cheques and Transfers in order to ease the movement of goods between banks of Mediterranean as Tunis, Bejaia and Alexandria. The Libyan seaports were very important commercial ports for ships travelling from the Southern Europe towards Alexandria and back. Those ships moor in Libyan seaports to avoid tensions in the Miditerranean, and then they restart their voyages after receiving the necessary aids of commercial movement for its crews as food and water, etc. | ||
