ظاهرة التعليم عن بعد كانت بدايتها في أربعينيات القرن الماضي ومرت بتطورات إلى أن أصبحت بالشكل المتعارف عليه حديثا، وهذا النوع من التعليم يعتبر عملية منظمة تسعى إلى تحقيق النتائج التعليمية باستخدام وسائل تكنولوجية والتفاعل بين المعلم والطالب بوجود محتوى، وفي هذا البحث تم تسليط الضوء على تجربة التعليم عن بعد كنمط من أنماط التعلم، ومدى الاستفادة واستثمار السبل المتاحة بالاعتماد على الوسائط الإلكترونية في الاتصال بين الأستاذ والطالب لمواصلة التعليم في غير ظروفه الاعتيادية، في ظل جائحة كورونا التي تسببت في تعطيل الدراسة على مستوى العالم ومؤسساته التعليمية، والوقوف على واقعية تطبيقه في التعليم الجامعي في ليبيا، إلا أن انقطاع الكهرباء وضعف شبكة الإنترنت وتفاوت الإمكانيات بين الطلاب كان عائقا أمام نجاح تجربة التعليم عن بعد كبديل للتعليم التقليدي، إلى جانب أن نجاح التعليم عن بعد يتطلب مهارات استخدام التقنية التي تعد وسيلة لتطبيق هذا النوع من التعليم.
"The phenomenon of distance education started in the forties of the last century and went through development stages until it became the normal trend recently. This type of education is an organized process that seeks to achieve educational results using technological means and interaction between the teacher and the student through the presence of content. In this research, the experience of distance education as a pattern of learning was highlighted, and the extent to which the available means of using electronic media are used and invested in communicating between the teacher and the student to continue education outside their usual circumstances, in light of the Corona pandemic, which caused disruption of studies in the whole world and the educational institutions. The study also aims to identify the reality of the application of distance education in university education in Libya. However, the electricity outage, the poor Internet, and the disparity of possibilities among students have been an obstacle to the success of the distance education experience as an alternative to traditional education.
