المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى استقصاء العلاقة بين طبقات العصاب وجودة الحياة لدى طلبة الثانوية العامة في لواء البتراء؛ إذ تكونت عينة الدراسة من جميع أفراد مجتمع الدراسة التي بلغت (327) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة الثانوية العامة بعد استثناء عينة الثبات، إذ استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، ومن أجل تحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير مقاييس الدراسة (طبقات العصاب، وجودة الحياة) وتم التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما، وبعد تطبيق أدوات الدراسة أظهرت النتائج أن مستوى طبقات العصاب وجودة الحياة لدى طلبة الثانوية العامة في لواء البتراء جاء متوسطا، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية سلبية بين طبقات العصاب وجودة الحياة على المستوى الكلي وفي جميع الأبعاد، كما أشارت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لأثر متغير النوع الاجتماعي على مستوى طبقات العصاب على المستوى الكلي وفي جميع الأبعاد. فيما أشارت إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لأثر متغير التخصص على مستوى طبقات العصاب في بعدي (الزيف، والخوف) وعلى المستوى الكلي، ولصالح طلبة الفرع الأدبي والاقتصاد المنزلي، وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لأثر متغير النوع الاجتماعي على مستوى جودة الحياة المستوى الكلي وفي بعدي (الحياة المدرسية، والحياة الاجتماعية)، ولصالح الإناث، بالإضافة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لأثر متغير التخصص على مستوى جودة الحياة في بعدي (الحياة الاجتماعية، والصحة النفسية)، ولصالح طلبة الفرع الأدبي، وفي ضوء النتائج خرجت الدراسة بتوصيات من أهمها: وضع جملة من الحلول والمقترحات والتوصيات لتحسين جودة الحياة لديهم، قيام وزارة التربية والتعليم بعقد دورات تدريبية لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية من أجل تحسين مستوى جودة الحياة لديهم وتخفيض مستوى طبقات العصاب، وضرورة قيام المرشدين التربويين بتوعية طلبة المرحلة الثانوية ورفع معنويتهم في مجال جودة الحياة النفسية لما لها من أهمية في تهيئتهم للدراسة.

This study aimed to investigating the relationship between the categories of neurosis and the quality of life among the high school students in Petra District. The study sample consisted of 327 male and female high school students after excluding the reliability sample. The researcher used the correlational descriptive approach. In order to achieve the study objectives, the researcher the scale of neurosis as well as life quality scale; their reliability and validity were verified. The results showed that the level of neurosis and the quality of life among the high school students in Petra District was medium. The results also showed that there is a negative correlation relationship between the categories of neurosis and the quality of life regarding the overall level and for all the dimensions. The results revealed that there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the impact of gender regarding the level of neurosis categories in terms of the overall level and for all the dimensions. While the results revealed that there are statistically significant differences attributed to the impact of specialization regarding the level of neurosis categories for all the dimensions of (falsehood, and fear) regarding the overall level and in favor of the students of literary stream and household economy. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences attributed to the impact of gender regarding the level of life quality for the dimensions of (school life, social life) in favor of the females, and that there are statistically significant differences attributed to the impact of specialization regarding the level of life quality for the dimensions of (social life, and psychological health) in favor of the students of literary stream. In the light of the results, the study recommended about holding training courses for high school students by the ministry of education in order to improve their life quality and reduce neurosis among them as well as promoting the role of educational counselors in raising the awareness of high school students and enhancing their morale in the domain of psychological life quality due to their importance in preparing them for studying.
