|a هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف درجة معرفة أعضاء هيئة التدريس العاملين في جامعة مؤتة بمفهوم القياس المقارن ودرجة ممارستهم له، وتأثر درجة تلك المعرفة والممارسة بمتغيرات المسمي الوظيفي، والخبرة الجامعية، والكلية. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم تطوير استبانة تألفت من قسمين و(43) فقرة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (106) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس العاملين في جامعة مؤتة للعام الدراسي 2007/2008. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة توسط درجة معرفة أعضاء هيئة التدريس بمفهوم القياس المقارن وارتفاع درجة الممارسة، ووجود أثر ذي دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) لمتغيرات المسمي الوظيفي والخبرة الجامعية والكلية على كل من درجة المعرفة ودرجة الممارسة. وأوصت الدراسة في ضوء تلك النتائج بإنشاء مركز متخصص للقياس المقارن داخل الجامعة، وعقد دورات وورش تدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس لزيادة معرفتهم بمفهوم القياس المقارن.
|b This study aimed at identifying the extent to which the members of the academic staff at Mutah university are aware of and willing to put into practice the concept of benchmarking. In particular, it investigated the influence of some variables including status, experience, and faculty. A questionnaire composed of two sections comprising (43)items was developed to achieve the objectives of the study whose sample included (106) of the academic staff of Mutah university in the academic year 2007/2008. The study concluded that the subjects' awareness of the comept of benchmarking was moderate, yet its application was high. Moreover, a noticeable statistical effect attributed to the above-mentioned variables on the awareness and application of benchmarking was detected at the level of (α≤0.05). Taking into account those results, the researcher recommended establishing a special center for benchmarking in the university and conducting training courses and workshops for its academic staff to expand their knowledge of benchmarking.
