المستخلص: The research aims to identify the effect of the use of the 4mat strategy in learning some modern dance movements of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education - Tanta University. The researcher used the experimental approach in experimental design for two groups, one experimental and one control. The research sample was chosen from the third year (2016 - 2017) female students (96). The researcher concluded that the 4Mat strategy contributed positively to the improvement of the cognitive achievement and the motor performance level of the experimental group students and was more effective than the traditional method (explanation and model). Modern dance movements are under discussion.
