| 520 | |b In this article, we explore the impacts of current developments of the global energy scene on the exploitation of fossil energy resources, and the risks that producing countries, such as Algeria, are exposed to, particularly the risk that their energy assets becoming stranded assets. Indeed, since the beginning of 2021 we have been witnessing the emergence of a new upward cycle in hydrocarbon prices, and profound changes, induced by technological developments, which could have a lasting effect on the production of oil and gas. We will focus on the significant development of electric cars in the world and its effects on future energy consumption, but also the role of the evolution of technology in terms of oil and shale gas. A focus will be made on the potential impacts on the Algerian economy. |d Dans cet article nous explorons les impacts des évolutions que connait la scène énergétique mondiale sur l’exploitation des ressources énergétiques fossiles, et les risques auxquels les pays producteurs, comme l’Algérie, sont exposés, notamment en matière d’échouement des leurs actifs énergétiques. En effet, nous assistons depuis le début de l’année 2021 à l’émergence d’un nouveau cycle haussier des prix des hydrocarbures, en plus des mutations profondes, induites par les évolutions technologiques, qui pourraient affecter durablement la production du pétrole et du gaz. On se focalisera sur le développement important des voitures électriques dans le monde et ses effets sur la consommation future de l’énergie, mais aussi, sur le rôle de l’évolution de la technologie en matière de pétrole et de gaz de schiste. Un intérêt particulier sera porté sur les impacts potentiels sur l’économie algérienne. | ||
