|b This research paper is set to discover the nature of correlation between rhythm of Arabic poetry and socio-cultural dimensions that form the external context in which the poetic creativity of the Arabs has been produced via its successive historical periods. The research sets off from the angle of detection about the motives that granted the traditional form (embodied by the columnar poem) secret of the effective influence on literary taste of both the poet and the audience, and turn it into a dominant cultural format, despite the long time of its appearance, and mixing of Arab culture and society with other cultures and nations, in addition to successive renewal attempts, the old and modern ones.
