| 520 | |b This article attempts to examine late motherhood through the socio-demographic characteristics of Algerian women who have given birth at a late age (35 years and over), drawing on the data from the latest MICS6 2019 survey. The results of this study showed that the majority of married women from 35 years of age reside in urban areas, 53.3% have a medium level of education and over and 52% of them have children, 90% of whom have given birth before 40 years of age. |d Ce présent article tente d’examiner la maternité tardive à travers les caractéristiques socio- démographiques des femmes algériennes qui ont accouché à un âge tardif, en s’appuyant sur la base de données de la dernière enquête MICS6 2019. Les résultats de cette étude ont montré que la majorité des femmes mariées à partir de 35 ans résident en milieu urbain, 53,3% ayant un niveau d’instruction moyen et plus et 52% d’entre elles ont eu des enfants dont 90 % ont accouché avant 40 ans. | ||
