نزل الدين الإسلامي الحنيف رحمة للعالمين، وكان هدفه الأول هو، والسمو بالإنسان إلى أقصى درجاته، وكان للطفل نصيب منه، إذ دعا الإسلام إلى بناء الإنسان منذ الطفولة فرسم منهجية تربوية ترعى نمو الولد وبناءه من الناحية الإيمانية والأخلاقية والعلمية، فالتربية على الفضائل منذ الصغر تترسخ في الإنسان وتتجذر في سلوكه المستقبلي. وقد وجدت من الأهمية بمكان أن أبحث في أدب الطفل الإسلامي، المؤثر الصادق في إيحاءاته ودلالاته، في الأطفال. والذي يستلهم من الإسلام مبادئه ويتخذ منها الركيزة، الأساسية لبناء شخصية الطفل فكريا ووجدانيا وسلوكيا، وينمي مواهبه الفطرية. لقد تناول البحث الطفولة ونظرة الإسلام لها من خلال القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية الشريفة، وتناول أيضا كيف وجه الإمام على عليه السلام الأباء لتربية أبنائهم فهي حق على آبائهم. وقد ذكر البحث مفهوم أدب الطفل في القديم والحديث، وبيان أهميته في توجيه الطفل على وفق مبادئ وقيم سامية. بعد ذلك توجه البحث إلى أدب الطفل الإسلامي، وأثر قصص القرآن فيه، وانتهى بخصائص أدب الأطفال المهمة. وقد خلص البحث إلى نتائج منها: أدب الأطفال الذي يستلهم من عقيدة الإسلام وسيرة الرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم) مادته، له أهداف أولها ترسيخ العقيدة الإسلامية، في ذهن الطفل، وتعريفه بدينه وما يتسم به من واجبات وحقوق إلى جانب الفضائل والخلق الكريم. - لا بد لمن يتصدى للكتابة في أدب الطفل من مقومات تجعله قادرا على إيصال أفكاره بشكل صحيح ومبسط، إلى جانب ذلك يجب أن يمتلك هذا الكاتب مقومات خاصة، وثقافة تسعفه في هذا المجال. - من سمات هذا الأدب البساطة، واللغة، الواضحة. - استعمال الرسومات الملونة الجميلة في المطبوعات التي تتعلق بأدب الطفل. - ازدادت الحاجة إلى أدب الطفل في وقتنا الحاضر، وقد انشغل الناس عن أطفالهم، فقد خرجت الأم إلى العمل، فلم يبق لها الفرصة الكافية للاعتناء بطفلها.
