المستخلص: تناولت هذه الدراسة محافظة القنفذة التابعة لمنطقة مكة المكرمة، وهدفت إلى وصف الوضع الراهن للحدود الإدارية لمحافظة القنفذة، وتحليل المقومات الجغرافية الطبيعية والبشرية لمحافظة القنفذة، ومن ثم وضع تصور مقترح لتطوير الوضع الراهن للحدود الإدارية لمحافظة القنفذة، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال دراسة الحدود الإدارية لمحافظة القنفذة، ودراسة المقومات الجغرافية الطبيعية والبشرية للمحافظة، كما تم استخدام برنامج Arc Gis لإنتاج الخرائط المتعلقة بالدراسة وإخراجها، وتم عمل تحليل استراتيجي لمحافظة القنفذة من خلال عمل جدول للتحليل الرباعي (SWOT Analysis)، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج منها، بعد المسافة بين محافظة القنفذة ومقر إمارة مكة المكرمة وهي المنطقة التي تتبعها، ونقص المعلومات والبيانات عن محافظة القنفذة ومراكزها وقدمها، وأوصت الدراسة بإعادة النظر في الحدود الإدارية لمحافظة القنفذة، والاهتمام بتطوير وتنمية كافة الخدمات في جميع المجالات الصحية والتعليمية والاجتماعية والرياضية، والنقل والمواصلات في محافظة القنفذة والمراكز التابعة لها، العمل على توفير البيانات وقواعد المعلومات بشكل تفصيلي عن محافظة القنفذة ومراكزها، والعمل على استقطاب المستثمرين للنهوض بالمحافظة وتطويرها.

This study dealt with Al-Qunfudhah Governorate of Mecca region, and aimed at describing the current situation of the administrative boundaries of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, and analyzing the natural and human geographical components of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, and then developing a proposed vision for the development of the current status of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate administrative boundaries, and the study used the analytical descriptive method by studying Al-Qunfudhah Governorate administrative boundaries, and studying the natural and human geographical components of the Governorate. Also Arc Gis program was used to produce and develop the maps related to this study. A strategic analysis of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate was carried out through SWOT Analysis table. The study reached a number of results, including, the far distance between Al-Qunfudhah Governorate and the headquarters of Mecca, which is its area, and the lack of information and data on Al-Qunfudhah Governorate and centers and history of the same. The study recommended reconsidering the administrative boundaries of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, pay attention to the development of all services in all areas of health, education, social, sports, and transportation in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate and its affiliated districts, provide information and databases in detail about Al-Qunfudhah Governorate and its affiliated districts, and attract investors to promote and develop the province.
