أضحت العلاقة بين الترجمة واللسانيات حقلا معرفيا نسقيا يتوخى الطروحات البنوية، قصد دراسة وتفسير اللسان البشري، فاستوجب على الترجمة بوصفها عملية احتكاك لغوي أن تستفيد من مفاهيم وإجراءات هذا الحقل، بغية تأمين عملية النقل من اللغة الأصل إلى اللغة الهدف. الأمر الذي يضمن دراسة عملية مقارناتية على الوجه الدقيق ما دامت اللغة أمنت خصوصياتها. ولما حظيت به الترجمة من نشر للأذواق الأدبية من لغة إلى أخرى، فإنها أدت إلى ارتقاء العديد من الأعمال الفكرية. الأمر الذي أهلها أن تفرض نفسها على الساحة المقارناتية، بل واعتبرت نفسها الركيزة الأساسية لتجسير معبر المقارنة وقد اتضح هذا في حاجة الأدب المقارن لدراسة العلاقات التاريخية واللغوية لشعوب مختلفة تأثرت إيجابيا أو عكسيا بآداب وثقافات بعضها. لتفرز في الأخير عملا يتخطى حواجز الزمان والمكان.
The relationship between translation and linguistics has turned out to be a systematic field of knowledge that seeks structural schemes. In order to interpret the human speech, translation, as a process of linguistic contact, had to benefit from the concepts and procedures of this field in order to secure the transfer process from the original language to the target language. This ensures a precise practical comparative study, as long as the language secures its peculiarities. Due to the dissemination of literary tastes from one language to another, translation has led to the advancement of many intellectual works, which qualified it to impose itself on the comparative field, and even to consider itself as the mainstay for bridging the comparative junction. This fact induced comparative literature to delve into the historical and linguistic relationships of various peoples that are positively or adversely affected by their literatures and cultures to eventually produce a text that goes beyond the barriers of time and space.
