المستخلص: تبحث هذه الدراسة ظاهرة تعدد المعنى للمدخل المعجمي الواحد بالوزن الواحد، والضبط الواحد في المعجم العربي. وهدفت الدراسة إلى تتبع صور تعدد المعنى وأسبابه في المعجم العربي، وبيان أثر السياق في شرح المعاني متعددة المداخل، ومدى اعتماد المعاجم قديما وحديثا عليه في الإبانة عن المعنى الدقيق للفظ. واستجلاء منهج المعجمية القديمة والحديثة في التعامل مع المداخل متعددة المعاني. وقد قسمت هذه الدراسة إلى مبحثين؛ إحداهما نظري، والآخر تطبيقي، يسبقهما مقدمة، ومدخل، وتعقبهما خاتمة، ثم قائمة المصادر والمراجع. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، أبرزها: اعتماد معجم اللغة العربية المعاصرة على منهجية منطقية في ترتيب المعاني المتعدد للمدخل الواحد واستيعابها. واعتماده السياق اللغوي للإبانة عن المعني؛ فتجلت- على سبيل الذكر- ملامح النظرية السياقية عند الزمخشري في أساس البلاغة، وكان له فضل السبق في تطبيقها دون التصريح بها، كما سجلت الدراسة معنيين شائعين مستدركين على معجم اللغة العربية المعاصرة.

This study examines the phenomenon of polysemy of the one lexical entry with one form in the Arabic lexicon. Thus, the study aimed to trace the features of polysemy and its causes in the Arabic lexicon, and to show the impact of context in explaining the meanings of multiple entrances, and the extent to which lexicons depended on it, in the past and in the present, in clarifying the exact meaning of the word. Moreover, the study sought to clarify the ancient and modern lexical approach in dealing with the polysemous entrances. The study adopted the descriptive approach in describing the approach of the Lexicon of the Modern Arabic Language, balancing it with the lexicons of Language Standards, and The Foundation of Eloquence, and describing their approach in comprising, explaining and arranging the polysemy meanings. This study was divided into two sections; one is theoretical, and the other is practical, preceded by an introduction and a preface, followed by a conclusion, and finally ended with a list of sources and references. The study showed a logical methodology in arranging and comprising the meanings. Thus, the features of the contextual theory of Al-Zamakhshari were evident in The Foundation of Eloquence, and in which he had the advantage of applying the features of the contextual theory without declaring it. Additionally, the study also recorded two common meanings that were lately added in the Lexicon of the Modern Arabic Language.
