المستخلص: يسعى البحث إلى بيان أهم المشاكل التي عانتها البيئة العراقية منها مشكلة التغيير المناخي والتصحر وظهور مشاكل حديثة أصابتها متمثلة بالهزات الأرضية والسيول، فضلا عن الزيادة السكانية وما رافقها من قلة وعي المواطنين والتجاوز على البيئة الطبيعية والتوسع في الأنشطة الصناعية والزراعية وبيان ما عانته البيئة العراقية من الحروب وسوء الإدارات البيئية المتعاقبة الذي ساهم بشكل مباشر في زيادة مشاكل التلوث وأثرت في حق الإنسان في بيئة سليمة، حيث يسعى البحث إلى بيان أسباب التلوث الطبيعية والبشرية والتكنلوجية والتي أثرت في حق الإنسان في بيئة سليمة وبيان ما هي تأثيراتها على الفرد العراقي باستخدام المنهج الوصفي لوصف المشاكل التي تعانيها البيئة العراقية والمنهج التحليلي لتحليل هذه المشاكل ومعرفة مدى تأثيرها في حق الإنسان في بيئة سليمة فتوصل البحث إلى أن: المشكلات التي تعاني منها البيئة العراقية كانت بسبب ملوثات طبيعية وبشرية وتكنلوجية جاءت بعد عدة حروب تعرضت لها، إذ لابد من رفع وعي المواطنين بأهمية الحفاظ على البيئة وحمايتها من التلوث من خلال التوعية البيئية ومعالجة الملوثات بجميع أنواعها بما فيها التجارية والصناعية والطبية والزراعية.

The Iraqi environment has suffered from a clear and tangible deterioration. The causes of this varied between the population increase and the unsustainable development of the different sectors and the lack or absence of the use of modern technological methods in the treatment of pollutants, which resulted in negative effects on the environment. The environment of air, water and soil, as well as the wrong uses of the Iraqi person for his environment, and the result was a clear imbalance in the environmental systems and a tangible change in the natural features of the Iraqi environment, including the environmental damage caused to the infrastructure of Iraq. The environmental problems are innumerable, and pollution is one of the most dangerous and most important problems facing the Iraqi environment at all, because it is often the result of human action, unlike most other environmental risks, some of which are due to natural causes. Iraq faces many environmental issues caused by many The accumulated problems as a result of military operations and the use of various types of conventional and non-conventional weapons, in addition to the damage caused to the Iraqi environment as a result of the outbreak of hostilities in the second Gulf War in 1991 and its aftermath in the 2003 war and the use of internationally prohibited weapons were among the results of that invasion, which was embodied in soil, air and water pollution and injury humans with serious diseases and unspeakable damages have directly contributed to increasing the pollution of the Iraqi environment and the accompanying health and economic risks that have implications and risks for plowing and offspring.
