المستخلص: This study aims to clarify the actual impact of cultural diversity on tourism in the Saudi city of Taif from the Abbasid period to the Saudi era, where the city of “Taif” dates back more than 2,000 years during which it lived difficult periods of occupation and wars that affected its prosperity. Cultural diversity played an important role in attracting many pioneers and tourists to it over time, making it one of the most important tourist cities in Saudi Arabia because it has a long history in addition to the developments that are currently taking place. In addition to the features of Taif, known as the City of Roses, because of the smell of aromatic roses from nearby orchards, Taif is famous in the Sira of the Prophet Mohammed Salla Allahu Aleyhi wa sallam and enjoys a religious status for Muslims. In the Abbasid era, Makhzoum's sons came to Taif after the death of Abu Al- Abbas, the thief, and transferred them to their authority. They held Uday’s sons as prices in Taif and took care of Okaz market and Dar al-Hikma, so seminars and speeches were held every month and attracting different cultures as a tourist destination.
