The purpose of this study is to provide evidence that green bank marketing may make a positive contribution to the achievement of sustainable development. The managers, heads of departments, and employees with expertise in banks operating in the city of Sulaymaniyah were randomly selected to gather data using the questionnaire tool. Statistical description, regression analysis and correlation test were performed using SPSS, 26. The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are that surveyed banks face obstacles that discourage their role in achieving sustainable development and that, from the perspective of the study sample members, there are significant correlations between the study variables and an impact of green bank marketing on sustainable development. Several suggestions were also made, the most significant of which was to urge the Central Bank to establish supervisory guidelines for Iraqi banks that require them to implement sustainable development and green banking.
