|b This study aims at dealing with investment in human capital through education and its impact on economic growth in Algeria during 1990-2017, on the basis of an econometric study using ARDL. The results of the research revealed the existence of significant inverse relationship between education expenditures and GDP per capita in the short term, where an increase of 1% of education expenditure is accompanied with a decrease of 0.05% of GDP elasticity. Moreover, there is a negative impact with 5% significance between education expenditures and GDP in the long term, so that an increase of 1% of education expenditures is accompanied with a decrease of 0,35 of GDP elasticity.
|d Cette étude vise à étudier l’investissement en capital humain à travers l’éducation et son impact sur la croissance économique en Algérie durant la période 1990-2017, en utilisant une étude économétrique à l’aide d’un modèle ARDL. Les résultats obtenus ont montré l’existence d’une relation inverse significative entre les dépenses d'éducation et le PIB par habitant à court terme de manière qu’une augmentation de 1% des dépenses d'éducation est accompagnée d’une diminution de 0,05 % de l'élasticité du PIB par habitant. Aussi, un impact négatif au niveau de signification de 5% entre les dépenses d'éducation et le PIB par habitant à long terme, de sorte que l'augmentation de 1 % des dépenses d'éducation est accompagnée d’une diminution de 0,35 % de l'élasticité du PIB par habitant.
