المستخلص: أظهر البحث أن هذا الطريق له دور حيوي ومهم في حركة السكان سواء من سكنة هذه المناطق التي يمر بها أو حركة المرور النافذ للسائقين الذين يسلكون هذا الطريق كبديل للطريق الرئيس (رقم ٨ طريق بغداد - حلة) لاسيما زوار العتبات المقدسة في كربلاء والنجف لارتباط هذا الطريق بالطريق الدولي السريع رقم واحد والذي يربط محافظة كربلاء والنجف وباقي المحافظات الأخرى الجنوبية، ذلك بين البحث دور الطريق في تغيير استعمالات الأرض بمحاذاة الطريق مع امتداده طوليا وجلب استعمالات أخرى جديدة وتنشيط حركة الزراعة والصناعة والتجارة، وكذلك أسهم الطريق في سهول تقديم الخدمات الصحية والتعليمية لسكان هذه المناطق التي يمر بها إذ تم بناء العديد من المدارس بكل أنواعها (ابتدائية ومتوسطة وثانوية) وكذلك فتح العديد من المراكز الصحية وعيادات الأطباء والصيادلة ومختبرات التحليل. أظهرت الدراسة عند قياس كثافة حركة المرور إن الذروة الصباحية كانت عند الساعة (6.00- 8.00) صباحا، وهذا يمثل كثافة الحركة في هذه الساعات بسبب حركة الطلاب والمدرسين والمعلمين والموظفين والعمال والحرفيين للوصول إلى أماكن أعمالهم. أما الذروة المسائية فكانت عند وقت الرصد (6.00- 4.00) مساء في رحلتي الذهاب والعودة، وهذا يمثل رحلة التسوق والفسحة والتزاور بين الأصدقاء والأقارب والترفيه عن النفس بعد قضاء يوم طويل من العمل الشاق، أما مؤشر انعطاف الطريق وصل إلى (150%) وهذا يعني كثرة تعرجات الطريق وأن الطريق لا يسير بخط مستقيم وقد فسرنا هذا السبب لأن مسار الطريق كان يتماشى مع جدول هور رجب الذي كان يسير بشكل متعرج لينقل الماء إلى جميع الأراضي والبساتين في منطقة الدراسة.

The research showed that this road has a vital and important role in the movement of the population, whether from the residents of these areas it passes through or the traffic flowing for drivers who take this road as an alternative to the main road (No. 8 Baghdad-Hilla Road), especially visitors to the holy shrines in Karbala and Najaf, because of the connection of this road. The International Highway Number One, which connects Karbala, Najaf and the rest of the other southern governorates. This shows the role of the road in changing the uses of the land along the road with its longitudinal extension and bringing other new uses and revitalizing the movement of agriculture, industry and trade, as well as the road’s contribution to the provision of health and educational services to the residents of these The areas it passes through, as many schools of all kinds (primary, intermediate and secondary) were built, as well as the opening of many health centers, clinics for doctors and pharmacists, and analysis laboratories. The study showed when measuring the intensity of traffic that the morning peak was at (6.00-8.00) in the morning, and this represents the intensity of traffic in these hours due to the movement of students, teachers, teachers, employees, workers and craftsmen to reach their places of work. As for the evening peak, it was at the time of observation (6.00-4.00) in the evening on the two round trips, and this represents the trip of shopping, leisure, visiting between friends and relatives, and leisure after spending a long day of hard work. As for the road turn index, it reached (150%) and this means the many meanders of the road and that the road does not go in a straight line. We explained this reason because the path of the road was in line with the Hawr Rajab stream, which was running in a zigzag way to transport water to all the lands and orchards in the study area.
