المستخلص: يهدف البحث إلى بيان كيفية تعامل ابن جرير الطبري مع تفسير الصحابة والتابعين، مع ضرب أمثلة تطبيقية على ذلك، وبيان علل تقديم قول التابعي على الصحابي في تفسيره. وقد تناول البحث مواضع مختلفة من تفسير الطبري، ورد فيها تقديم قول التابعي على الصحابي. وقد اعتمدت في هذا البحث على المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي. وتوصل البحث إلى نتائج مهمة، من أبزها: ١/ كثرة المروي عن التابعين في التفسير. ٢/ يتعامل ابن جرير مع تفسير السلف كطبقة واحدة في التفسير الاجتهادي الذي من قبيل الرأي؛ فيقدم قول التابعي على الصحابي ويرجحه إذا اعتضد قوله بالمرجحات. 3/ تفسير الرواية المتعلق بأخبار المغيبات وأسباب النزول الذي ليس له قرائن ترجحه يقدم فيه قول الصحابي؛ لأنهم العالمون بالتنزيل. 4/ تعامل ابن جرير مع طبقات السلف تحتاج استقراء تاما ودراسة علمية واسعة.

The research aims to clarify how Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari dealt with the interpretation of the Companions and the Followers, with applied examples, and to explain the reasons for the preference of the saying of the Follower to the saying of the Companion in his interpretation. The research dealt with various places in Al-Tabari's interpretation where the preference of the saying of the Follower to the saying of the Companion was applied. In this research, I relied on the inductive-analytical method. The research reached important results, the most important of which are: 1/ There is a large number of narrations of the Followers in the interpretation. 2/ Ibn Jarir deals with the interpretation of the predecessors as a single layer in the "judgmental interpretation", which depends on opinions; So he gives precedence to the saying of the Follower over that of the Companion and gives weight to it if his saying is supported with preponderates. 3/ In the interpretation of the narration – that is related to the unseen information and the reasons for revelation which have no supporting presumptions – the statement of the Companion is preferred; as they have more knowledge of the revelation. 4/ Ibn Jarir's way of dealing with the classes of the predecessors require comprehensive induction and extensive scientific study.
