المستخلص: قدمت هذه الدراسة أبرز اتجاهات أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة دمياط نحو القراءة والاطلاع في ضوء ارتياد المكتبة والتحول الرقمي وزيادة استخدام شبكة الإنترنت، وتم دراسة هذه الاتجاهات من خلال الاعتماد على منهج دراسة الحالة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة دمياط ومكتبات الكليات التابعة للجامعة، وتم توجيه استبيان لأعضاء هيئة التدريس من أجل جمع البيانات والإجابات عن التساؤلات والعبارات التي شملتها الدراسة من حيث معرفة اتجاهات استخدام أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة دمياط لمصادر المعلومات الرقمية وفقا لفئاتهم العمرية ودرجاتهم الأكاديمية واتجاهاتهم نحو القراءة والاطلاع في ضوء ارتياد المكتبة والتحول الرقمي وزيادة استخدام شبكة الإنترنت، وتوصلت الدراسة لمجموعة من الدوافع والمبررات التي تشجع أعضاء هيئة التدريس على الاتجاه لمصادر المعلومات الرقمية وفقا لفئاتهم العمرية ودرجاتهم الأكاديمية، واشتملت الدراسة على 8 مكتبات للكليات التابعة لجامعة دمياط، وقام 150 عضو هيئة تدريس بالإجابة عن الاستبيان. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى تقصير أعضاء هيئة التدريس في التوجه نحو القراءة وارتياد المكتبة يرجع لشعورهم بالملل وانزعاجهم بالحث على القراءة والبحث؛ ولذلك يجدون في التحول الرقمي وشبكة الإنترنت فرصة للتخلص من هذا الملل. وتشير نتائج الدراسة إلى أهم الأسباب التي تجعل المكتبة سببا في هدر الكثير من الوقت منها: صعوبة التعامل مع المصادر المتاحة بالمكتبة، بالإضافة إلى بيئة المكتبة غير مهيئة للقراءة والبحث، كما توصلت الدراسة أيضا بأن بعض أعضاء هيئة التدريس يستخدمون موقع مكتبة الكلية على شبكة الإنترنت كبديل للمكتبة في الواقع المادي. وخرجت الدراسة بتصور مقترح للاتجاهات الحديثة التي يمكن تطبيقها في المكتبات الجامعية كضرورة فتح قاعات جديدة في المكتبات الجامعية، والعمل على زيادة التوعية والتوجيه بأهمية المكتبات الجامعية، وربط أعضاء هيئة التدريس بها عن طريق الخدمات والتوجهات الحديثة، وتوفير نظام لإدارة البيانات البحثية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس ودعم البحث العلمي عن طريق الاستفادة من التقنيات الحديثة في تقديم خدمات رقمية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب بالجامعة.

This study attempted to know the attitudes of faculty members in Egyptian universities towards reading and knowing in light of library attendance, digital transformation and increased use of the Internet, and to achieve this goal the study relied on the case study methodology for faculty members at Damietta University and the libraries of the colleges of the university, and a questionnaire was directed to them in order to Collecting data and answering questions that were included in the study in terms of knowing the attitudes of the faculty members at Damietta University towards reading and being informed in light of the attendance of the library, digital transformation and increasing use of the Internet, and identifying the motives for their use of digital information sources according to their age groups and academic degrees, and the study included 8 libraries for colleges Affiliated to Damietta University, and 150 faculty members answered the questionnaire. The study found that the failure of faculty members towards reading and going to the library because of their boredom and their annoyance with urging reading and research, and therefore they find in digital transformation and the Internet an opportunity to get rid of this boredom, and the most important results of the study indicate the reasons that make the library the reason for wasting a lot of time is the difficulty Dealing with the available resources in the library in addition to that the library environment is not prepared for reading and research. The study also found that some faculty members use the college’s library website on the Internet as an alternative to the library in physical reality. The study came out with a proposed conception of recent trends that can be applied in university libraries, such as the necessity to open new halls in university libraries and work to increase awareness and guidance on the importance of university libraries, and to link faculty members with them through modern services and trends, and provide a system for managing research data for faculty members and support scientific research about By making use of modern technologies in providing digital services to faculty members and students at the university.
