المستخلص: يعنى هذا البحث بدراسة ظاهرة "مزج المتناقضات" في قصائد الشاعر رشيد سليم الخوري التي عبر فيها عن الوطن وقضاياه، إذ احتوت قصائده على بعدين أساسيين انعكس من خلالهما الاتجاه الوطني هما: شعر الوطنية والقومية، وشعر الحنين، فنجده يبرز في قصائده ما تعرض له الوطن العربي من استعمار وحروب ومؤامرات من قبل دول الغرب؛ حيث يمزج الشاعر بين الألفاظ والتراكيب والصور المتناقضة؛ لينفس عن مشاعره الحزينة، ويعبر عما يدور داخل نفسه من مشاعر وأحاسيس متباينة متداخلة؛ نتيجة ما يحدث حوله من أحداث مؤسفة تتعلق بالوطن الحبيب؛ فيكشف للمتلقي الصراعات القائمة داخله، وحالة التشتت النفسي التي يمر بها؛ ومن ثم فقد كان مزج المتناقضات وسيلة بلاغية؛ مكنت الشاعر من تحقيق إضافة نوعية تميز إنتاجه الشعري؛ بما يظهر قدرته الفنية، ويسهم في إضفاء صفتي الحيوية والجمال على نصه الشعري. وسيتناول هذا البحث ثلاثة مظاهر لهذه الظاهرة التي وظفها الشاعر للتعبير عن قضايا الوطن ومشاعره تجاهه: المظهر الأول: التضاد، المظهر الثاني: المقابلة، المظهر الثالث: مقابلة الصور.

The research aims to study the phenomenon of "mixing contradictions" in Rashid Selim El-Khoury's poetry, where he wrote about his homeland and its issues. His poems contained two main dimensions that reflected a distinct nationalistic orientation; these are: the poetry of nationalism and patriotism on the one hand as well as nostalgic poetry. In his poems, El-Khoury highlights what the Arab world has been exposed to of colonization, wars, and conspiracies organized by the West. The poet mixes contradictory ideas, structures, and poetic imagery to vent his feelings of sorrow and to give a vivid portrayal of what goes on inside him of different and overlapping feelings over the bad conditions of his beloved homeland. Thus, he uncovers to the reader his inner conflict and the tormenting state of psychological dispersion he is afflicted with. Therefore, the "mixing of contradictions" is a rhetorical means that enables the poet to add a unique qualitative touch that distinguishes his poetic output, shows his artistic expertise, and adds beauty and vitality to his poetic text. The research explores three aspects of this phenomenon that were employed by the poet to address issues related to his homeland and his feelings towards it. These are: The first aspect: contrast, The second aspect: juxtaposition, The third aspect: juxtaposition of poetic imagery.
