|a تشير الدلائل الهيدروجيومورفية الميدانية إن كهف كونبا نشأ خلال الزمن الثالث والرابع ونتيجة العوامل الجيولوجية والهيدرولوجية والمناخية، وما العمليات المورفومناخية والمورفوديناميكية إلا أدوات عملت على تحلل وتفكك وإذابة الصخور والتي أنتجت الأشكال الجيومورفولوجية، إذ لا بد من دراسة وتحليل أنواع الصخور وقابليتها للإذابة لما له أثر في نشوء الكهف وتطوره، وكهف كونبا يعد تجويف طبيعي يتخلله تجاويف وتكهفات داخلية متباينة الأحجام، فقد صنف الكهف إلى جناحين (الأيمن والأيسر) تتفرع منه ثلاث تجاويف رئيسية تتوافق مع الأطوار التغذوية المائية الثلاث (التغذية المائية المتواترة، التخامد، الرشح المائي)، ويمكن تصنيف تلك الحجرات بالأمنة جيومورفيا باستثناء مواضع محددة ومتفرقة داخل كهف المنطقة.
