هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى التزام البرامج الأكاديمية في الجامعات السعودية بمعايير "ضمان الجودة والاعتماد" من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس ودوره في تطوير الأداء الأكاديمي. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في خمس جامعات سعودية تمثل المناطق الإدارية المختلفة (جامعة أم القرى بمكة المكرمة بالمنطقة الغربية، وجامعة الإمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل بالمنطقة الشرقية، وجامعة نجران بالمنطقة الجنوبية، وجامعة الحدود الشمالية بالمنطقة الشمالية، وجامعة شقراء بالمنطقة الوسطى) وبلغ حجم مجتمع الدراسة (2727) إذ اختيرت عينة قدرها (800) عضوا واستخدمت الاستبانة كأداة لجمع المعلومات، واستخدم تحليل الانحدار المتعدد لاختبار فروض الدراسة، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى نتائج عديدة أهمها وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين التزام البرامج الأكاديمية بالجامعات السعودية بجميع معايير (ضمان الجودة والاعتماد) و(تطوير الأداء الأكاديمي)؛ حيث بلغت درجة الارتباط (0.871)، وهى ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05)، وجاءت قيمة معامل التحديد (0.759). كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في إجابات أفراد العينة تبعا لمتغير (الجامعة)، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في إجابات أفراد العينة تبعا لمتغير (الكلية)، واختتمت الدراسة بعـدد من التوصيات من أهمها ضرورة وضع آليات واضحة لكيفية تطوير الرسائل الخاصة بالبرامج الأكاديمية؛ لتواكب نظيراتها على المستوى الإقليمي والعالمي وتفعيل مشاركة أعضاء هيئة التدريس في المؤتمرات الخارجية واحتساب مشاركاتهم كأحد محكات تقييمهم وترقيتهم، والكشف عن معوقات تطبيق معايير ضمان الجودة، والاعتماد الأكاديمي بالجامعات، والاهتمام بالآليات الفعالة التي من شأنها المحافظة على الاعتماد الأكاديمي بالجامعات.
The study is aimed at identifying the extent to which the academic programs in Saudi universities adhere to the standards of quality assurance and accreditation from the point of view of faculty members and its impact on the development of academic performance. The study has followed an analytical descriptive approach. Its population consists of staff members at five Saudi universities, representing various administrative regions (Um al-Qura University in Makkah in the western region, Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University in the eastern region, Najran University in the southern region, Northern Board University in the northern region, and Shaqra University a central region.) The study population is (2727) where a sample of (800) members has been selected. The questionnaire has been used as a data collection tool and multiple regression analysis has been adopted to test the study hypothess. It has been found that there is a statistically significant correlation between the commitment of academic programs of the Saudi universities by quality assurance and accreditation and development of academic performance where correlation rate is (0.871), that is statistically significant at the level of (0.05). And the correlation coefficient is (0.759). There are also statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members depending on the variable (University) in relation to their response to all aspects of the study. The study has suggested a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the need to develop clear mechanisms for how to develop mission of academic programs to keep pace with their counterparts at the regional and global level. To reveal the obstacles to applying quality assurance and academic accreditation standards in universities. To take care of effective mechanisms that will maintain academic accreditation in universities. To activate the participation of faculty members in external conferences and counting their participation as one criteria for their evaluation and academic promotion.
