In the popular movement launched on 22 February 2019, the Algerian woman registered her return from far away to participate in mapping the future of the country, after a rather long absence, for various reasons, and she, who participated strongly in the Algerian liberation revolution between 1954 and 1962, remained almost isolated after the country's 57 years of independence despite various attempts at emergence, raising her voice every time she had the opportunity to do so. In this article, we attempt to analyse this absence and the unnoticed return of Algerian women on the public stage in 2019 after the emergence of Algerian citizen mobilisations. To do so, we focus on the status that women have had in independent Algeria and how their strong participation has been shaped in a society that is still considered conservative, especially in the country's interior cities. En el movimiento popular iniciado el 22 de febrero de 2019, la mujer argelina registró su regreso de lejos para participar en trazar la cartografía del futuro del país, después de una ausencia bastante prolongada, por diversas razones, y ella, quien participó fuertemente en la revolución de liberación argelina entre 1954 y 1962, permaneciendo casi aislada después los 57 años de independencia del país a pesar de los diferentes intentos de emergencia alzando su voz cada vez que tuvo la oportunidad para hacerlo. En este artículo intentamos analizar esa ausencia y la inadvertida vuelta de la mujer argelina en la escena pública en 2019 tras la emergencia de las movilizaciones ciudadanas argelinas. Para ello, nos focalizamos en el estatus que ha tenido la mujer en la Argelia independiente y cómo se plasmó su fuerte participación en una sociedad que todavía se considera conservadora, especialmente en las ciudades interiores del país. |
