المستخلص: If we could one day gather the materials scattered in the four parts of the country and in libraries and archives abroad in order to compose the true history of our past. The first task would be to collect as many manuscripts as possible. Among the sources of information available to historians, archivists and documentalists, local manuscripts in Arabic occupy a pre-eminent place, reflecting the past in a direct manner.

Si un día pudiéramos reunir los materiales dispersos en las cuatro partes del país y en bibliotecas y archivos del extranjero para componer la verdadera historia de nuestro pasado, la primera labor que deberíamos hacer es aglutinar el mayor número de manuscritos posible. Entre las fuentes de información disponibles para los historiadores, archiveros y documentalistas, son los manuscritos locales en lengua árabe, que ocupan un lugar preeminente. Reflejan el pasado de una forma directa, honor que comparten así como otras fuentes de información.
