المستخلص: يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على دور شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في تحديث وتنمية بعض قري محافظتي الإسماعيلية وبورسعيد، وذلك من خلال قياس درجة تأثيرها على تحديث وتنمية المجتمع الريفي بمنطقة الدراسة، حيث تم تقسيم محافظة الإسماعيلية إلى مراكز إدارية، ووفقاً لدليل التنمية البشرية (UNDP Egypt, 2010, p. 266)، وتم اختيار قرية واحدة من كل مركز بإجمالي سبعة قرى، وقريتين من جنوب محافظة بورسعيد بعينة بلغت 450 شاباً، حيث تم اختيارها بطريقة العينة العشوائية الطبقية عام 2021 وتم استخدام استمارة استبيان بالمقابلة الشخصية في جمع البيانات ، مع استخدام الأساليب الإحصائية المناسبة لتحليل البيانات. توصلت الدراسة لعدة نتائج أهمها: أنه توجد فروق معنويه بين قرى محافظتي الإسماعيلية وبورسعيد في النواحي الصحية والأيكولوجية والاقتصادية عند المستوى الاحتمالي 0,01 في كل من تحديث وتنمية القرى، كان معامل الارتباط بين مستوى المعيشة ودرجه التحديث والتنمية للقرى هو الأعلى يليه الحالة التعليمية فالدخل الشهري فالانفتاح الجغرافي حيث تساهم بنسب 18%، 12%،11%،6% على التوالي. أن هناك ستة متغيرات من إجمالي المتغيرات المستقلة المدروسة والتي تم إدخالها في التحليل، وهذه المتغيرات هي التي تسهم إسهاماً معنوياً وجوهرياً في تفسير التباين في درجة تحديث وتنمية القرى وهذه المتغيرات هي: (الحالة التعليمية – الدخل الشهري – مستوى المعيشة – الانفتاح الجغرافي – الانفتاح الثقافي- درجة استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي)، وتفسر نحو 60%، 69% من التباين الحادث في درجتي تحديث وتنمية القرى على التوالي.

The research aims to identify the role of social media networks in the modernization and development of some villages of Ismailia and Port Said governorates, by measuring the degree of their impact on the modernization and development of the rural community in the study area, where Ismailia governorate was divided into administrative centers, according to the Human Development Index, One village was selected from each center with a total of seven villages, and two villages from the south of Port Said governorate with a sample of 450 young people, selected by the method of stratified random sample in 2021 and used in the collection of data a questionnaire form in personal interview, and the study used appropriate statistical methods to analyze the data. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: that there are significant differences between the villages of Ismailia and Port Said governorates in the health, ecological and economic aspects at the probability level of 0.01 in both the modernization and development of villages, the correlation coefficient between the standard of living and the degree of modernization and development of the villages was the highest followed by the educational situation, the monthly income, geographical openness, where it contributes by 18%, 12%, 11%, and 6% respectively. There are six variables of the total independent variables studied that were introduced in the analysis, and these variables are the ones that contribute morally and substantively to the explanation of the variation in the degree of modernization and development of villages and these variables are: (educational status - monthly income - standard of living - geographical openness - cultural openness - degree of use of social networks), and explain about 60%, 69% of the variation in the degrees of modernization and development of villages respectively.
