المستخلص: تتناول هذه الدراسة "مقاصد الزواج في اليهودية"، فلقد شرع الله الزواج ليكون رباطا وثيقا بين الرجل والمرأة، يقوم على المودة والرحمة، ويراد به الدوام والاستقرار، ومن مقاصده الأساسية: السكن والمودة بين الزوجين، فيسكن الزوج إلى زوجته، والزوجة إلى زوجها. فالزواج ضرورة من ضروريات الحياة؛ إذ به تحصل مصالح الدين والدنيا، فلقد خلق الله تعالى الإنسان، وكلفه بعمارة الأرض، واستخلفه فيها، وأمره بالحفاظ على استمرارية النسل الإنساني، وذلك لا يكون إلا بالزواج. وللزواج في اليهودية مكانة مهمة عند اليهود، حيث يعد واجبا، فعلى الشاب المقتدر الإسراع في الزواج دون تأجيل؛ فالرجل بدون امرأة هو إنسان غير كامل. وبقاء اليهودي في العزوبية أمر مناف للدين. وإهمال تلك المقاصد والإخلال بها يضر بمقصود الزواج، ويفقده قيمته الأساسية. وللزواج في اليهودية مقاصد عدة، أهمها: التناسل والتكاثر، السكن والعون، إنشاء بيت وتكوين أسرة، والإشباع العاطفي لعدم الوقوع في الرذيلة، وكذا الحفاظ على المال، حيث اعتاد اليهود الزواج من داخل العشيرة للحفاظ على أموال وممتلكات العشيرة.

This study aims to highlight "the objectives of marriage in Judaism". Allah, the Most High, has legislated marriage to be a strong tie between man and woman; it is a kind of relationship that is based on serenity and mercy and that is meant to realize stability. The basic objectives of marriage include, for example, maintaining affection and mercy, so that each of the couple would dwell in security with one another. It is one of the necessities of life through which the objectives of religion and life would be fulfilled. Allah, the Almighty, has created man, commissioned him to construct the earth and made him His vicegerent. For the sake of fulfilling this goal, He, the Most High, ordered mankind to keep the continual existence of the human offspring, a target that would not be realized except through marriage. In Judaism, marriage is of cardinal importance that it is considered a duty. According to the Jewish teachings, any young man, who is financially capable, should hurry to marry as soon as possible. Jews believe that a man without a wife is truly an incomplete person, which is why they opine that bachelorhood is against religion. As well, neglecting the objectives of marriage means nothing but undermining the higher objective of marriage, and thus makes it lose its main value. In Judaism, marriage has a number of objectives, including:- reproduction, dwelling in security and helping one another, establishment of family, satisfaction of one’s emotional desire to prevent him/her from committing fornication, and preservation of property.
