Money laundering is one of the economic crimes that appeared in the present age. The term “Money Laundering” was not known exactly until late eighties of last century. This crime had destructive effects on all aspects of life: economic, social, political, and the ethical at various levels: individual, society, and institutions. Money laundering is also a criminal cooperative act, and a cross-border crime with high brands. Consequently, it is not easy to fight it without international effort and extensive cooperation that would give effect to combating activities. Needless to say that most countries worldwide strived collectively to combat that crime by all means available, since the process of money laundering is closely connected with illicit activities. The research discussed the concept of money laundering crimes, its origin, stages, sources, forms, goals, and the basic elements of its crime. It also looked to the indication of the negative effects of money laundering and the states stance towards it. We concluded that the crime of money laundering is a procedure and practice that aims at disguising illegally obtained funds so that they seem clean and legal. It is the crime of fabricating true lies, the skill of falsifying the truths, the trade of planning the counterfeit reality so that it seems true. Lexically, it is more correct not to name this act as money laundering; it would be more precise to name it: Disguising the Funds Sources, since "laundering" is equivalent to "clearing up", while the intended here is disguising. That is to say, “The Significant is in the Sense, Not in the Uninflected.” Because of its significance, we favored this subject to be the title of our research.
