المستخلص: The researcher talks about the move¬ment of Prince Al-Muzaffar Abi Al- Harith Arslan bin Abdullah Al-Ba- sasiri, one of the leaders of the Buyid Sultanate in Iraq, in the Abbasid era, this movement constitutes an impor¬tant and clear transformation of the Abbasid state, especially at a time of its weakness and the decline of its influ¬ence, Al-Basasiri tried to win over some Arabs, in order to subjugate the Islamic world to one state. Which led to the ex¬pansion of the scope of events; Hence, it is necessary to follow up this movement, in terms of causes and results, and the course of events in it, and in terms of the surrounding political and economic conditions, and by reading the changes it brought about after the weakness and deterioration of the Abbasid Caliphate, the emergence of internal conflicts in it, the domination of the Buyid sultans over the caliphs and their tampering with their capabilities, and their under¬estimation of the position of the caliph; This prompted the Abbasid Caliph Al- Qa’im, by the command of Allah, Abu Jaafar Abdullah bin Al-Qadir Al-Ab¬basid (Buye to the year 422 AH/ 1030 AD) to seek the help of the Turkish Seljuk, a kind of change occurred in the administration of the country as a re¬sult of external interference, which led to the rebellion of one of the military leaders who had been brought up under the care of the Buyids, Al-Basassiri, so, he was still waiting for opportunities to restore their hegemony over Baghdad, the center of the Abbasid authority, and to impose a fait accompli on the Caliph by force, but there was an ambition that Al-Basassiri had in order to become an alternative to the two competing sides.
