المستخلص: يستهدف البحث الحالي صياغة تصور مقترح لإنشاء جامعات العمر الثالث في مصر من أجل تحقيق جودة الحياة المعيشية للمسنين، وذلك من خلال: تحديد واضح لما يفرضه مفهوم جامعات العمر الثالث من أطروحات فكرية متنوعة، توضيح بعض معالم التوجهات الدولية التي تعمل على إبراز العلاقة بين جامعات العمر الثالث وجودة الحياة المعيشية لكبار السن، إبراز أهم معالم جودة الحياة المعيشية لكبار السن، وضع مجموعة من المتطلبات تساعد على إنشاء جامعات العمر الثالث في مصر لتحقيق جودة حياتهم. وقد اعتمد البحث في خطواته على المنهج الوصفي، لأنه المنهج الذي يتلاءم مع طبيعة هذه الدراسة، وذلك للتعرف على الرؤي التي تقدم للجامعات العمر الثالث، وأهدافها، ومجالاتها، وبعض التوجهات العالمية في هذا المجال، ثم إبراز مفهوم جودة الحياة المعيشة للمسنين وضروراته له، وبعض المؤشرات التي تدل عليها في إطار نظري، في محاولة للتوصل إلى تصور مقترح يساعد على إنشاء جامعات العمر الثالث في مصر. وتوصل البحث إلى أن جامعات العمر الثالث تحقق جودة الحياة للمسنين، وتصنع الفرص للمشاورة وتقبل آراء الآخرين اللجوء إلى المعارف والأصدقاء وقت حدوث الأزمات وإشباع الحاجات الاجتماعية وتحقيق مبدأ التنمية الإنسانية، ومساعدتهم على التقرب من المجتمع وتزويد الأجيال الحالية بخبراتهم الاجتماعية والحياتية وتحقيق جودة الحياة الصحية والترفيهية والتعليمية والثقافية.

the current research aims to formulate a proposed vision for the establishment of third age universities in Egypt in order to achieve the quality of life for the elderly, through: A clear definition of the various intellectual propositions imposed by the concept of third age universities. And clarifying some of the features of the international trends that work to highlight the relationship between the third age universities and the quality of life for the elderly, and to highlight the most important features of the quality of life, the quality of life for the elderly, and to set a set of requirements that help establish the universities of the third age in Egypt to achieve the quality of their lives. He study proceeded in its steps based on the descriptive approach, because it is the approach that fits with the nature of this study, in order to identify the visions that are presented to the third age universities, their objectives, fields, and some global trends in this field, then highlighting the concept of quality of life for the elderly and its necessities, And some indications of it in a theoretical framework, in an attempt to reach a proposed vision that would help establish third-year universities in Egypt. the research concluded that the universities of the third age achieve the quality of life for the elderly, create opportunities for consultation and accept the opinions of others, resort to acquaintances and friends in times of crises, satisfy social needs, achieve the principle of human development, help them get closer to society, provide current generations with their social and life experiences, and achieve the quality of healthy, recreational and educational life. and cultural.
