المستخلص: التصويت هو أحد أبسط أشكال المشاركة في الديمقراطيات الحديثة، وبالتالي فهو أحد الموضوعات الأكثر بحثا في العلوم السياسية عامة والجغرافيا السياسية بشكل خاص، إذا استطعنا الإجابة على السؤال الآتي: ما الذي يحفز الناخبين على المشاركة في العملية الانتخابية أو الامتناع عنها؟ فقد نتمكن من إجراء انتخابات تشجع المزيد من الناخبين على التصويت، والتصويت هو الشكل الأساسي للمشاركة السياسية، لذا يجب على المؤسسات واللجان والوكالات والحكومات المسؤولة عن الانتخابات تحديد مواقع مراكز الاقتراع بعناية ليتناسب مع الناخبين ويقلل من تكاليفهم ويساعد في راحتهم، مساهمة جديدة في هذه الدراسة وهي التحليل الببليومتري لمعرفة الدراسات المرتبطة بالموضوع، وكشف الفجوة البحثية والمساهمات الجديدة، حاولت هذه الدراسة الإجابة على سؤال مهم هو: هل هناك علاقة بين المسافة والإقبال؟ وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن هناك علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين عدد مراكز الاقتراع ونسبة التصويت بقيمة (+0.52)، كذلك فإن هناك علاقة ارتباط بين تكلفة انتقال الناخب من محل سكنه إلى لجنته الانتخابية من ناحية ونسبة التصويت من ناحية أخرى وبلغت (+0.51)، كما بينت الدراسة العلاقة الارتباطية السالبة بين المسافة من مسقط رأس المرشح والمصوتين من ناحية، ونسبة الإقبال من ناحية أخرى، وكان ذلك بمعظم المرشحين (29 مرشحا) من إجمالي المرشحين بهذه الدائرة البالغ عددهم 30 مرشحا.

Voting is one of the simplest forms of participation in modern democracies, and therefore one of the most researched topics in political science in general, and Political geography in particular, if we can answer the following question: What motivates voters to participate in or abstain from the electoral process? We may be able to hold elections that encourage more voters to vote, and voting is the primary form of political participation, so the institutions, committees, agencies, and governments responsible for elections must carefully locate polling stations to suit voters, reduce costs and help comfort, a new contribution to This study, which is a bibliometric analysis to find out the studies related to the topic, and to reveal the Literature gaps and new contributions, this study attempts to answer an important question: Is there a relationship between the distance and the voting behavior of voters or not? The study concluded that there is a positive correlation between the number of polling stations and the percentage of voting with a value of (+0.52), and there is also a correlation between the cost of the voter’s transportation from his location of residence to his polling stations on the one hand, and the percentage of voting on the other hand, which amounted to (+0.51), the study also showed the negative correlation between the distance from the candidate's hometown and the voters on the one hand, and the percentage of voting on the other hand, and that was for most of the candidates (29 candidates) out of the total of 30 candidates in this constituency.
