المستخلص: The December 11 demonstration is a significant historical juncture in the history of the Algerian war of independence, due to the results it achieved. This research paper is a study of the Demonstrations of December 11, 1960, their role in confronting de Gaulle’s policy, and their global effects, especially in the Arab world. This article aims to provide scientific knowledge about the demonstrations. Moreover, it was necessary to shed light on the historical background of the demonstrations, where I covered the motives for the coup of May 11, 1691 and de Gaulle’s rise to power. In addition, I traced the policy of the Fifth Republic led by General de Gaulle towards the revolution and how the revolution confronted de Gaulle's strategy in eliminating it and I addressed the conduct and effects of the demonstrations. The last chapter included the global effects of the demonstrations, with focusing on their effects in the Arab world.
