المستخلص: This article proposes to study and analyze pictograms by the semiological approach. The objective was to illustrate the role of pictograms in the transmission of a message, to understand the construction of a pictogram and to grasp it as a sign. Our scope consists of twenty-three health, evacuation and safety signs. The results show that the pictograms have a double semiological meaning, they are autonomous and communicative.

Cet article propose d'étudier et d'analyser des pictogrammes par l'approche sémiologique. L’objectif était d'illustrer le rôle des pictogrammes dans la transmission d'un message, comprendre la construction d'un pictogramme et le saisir comme signe. Notre champ d'application est constitué de vingt-et-un panneaux de signalisation de santé, d'évacuation et de sécurité. Les résultats montrent que les pictogrammes possèdent une signification sémiologue double, ils sont autonomes et communicatifs.
