المستخلص: لا شك أن الجاحظ لديه أسلوبه المتميز في الكتابة، وقدراته العقلية والفكرية، فهو أديب وبلاغي ومتكلم معتزلي امتاز أسلوبه بالتلوين العقلي والحجاجي والقدرة على الإقناع، فهو يتناول في كتبه موضوعات مختلفة وبأجناس مختلفة شعرية ونثرية وبأسلوب فكاهي ساخر، ويعد تنوع الأشكال السردية في أدب الجاحظ من القضايا المثيرة للدراسة. فتصدى هذا البحث لدراسة الأنواع السردية في أدب الجاحظ، وقد قسم على مبحثين يسبقهما تمهيد في الأشكال السردية والجاحظ أما المبحثان فهما: الأول: تنوع الأشكال السردية. وتضمن الأخبار ومنها الواقعية واللاواقعية التي قسمت على الأخبار المنامية والأسطورية والخرافية وهي على قسمين الخرافي الغيبي والشعبي ثم الأخبار الغرائبية، ثم تأتي النادرة التي يرى بعض الدارسين بأن أول من ابتداعها الجاحظ ثم الحكاية التي قسمت على الحكاية الفكاهية والحكاية التفسيرية (الأمثولة) والحكاية اللغز. وأخيراً خاتمة بالنتائج التي توصل إليها البحث، وقائمة بالمصادر والمراجع. وقد توصل البحث إلى: كان الدافع لتوظيف هذه الأشكال السردية دفع الملل عن القارئ كما صرح الجاحظ بذلك، ووجود هذه الأشكال السردية في الأدب العربي إذ تم رصد هذه الأشكال في مجتمعه ومنها الأخبار الخرافية والشعبية والأسطورية والحكايات الفكاهية والملغزة. وظف الجاحظ الأخبار المنامية بدافع سياسي هو النيل من دولة بنى أمية التي قتلت الحسين (عليه السلام). كما تضمنت أشكال السرد الجاحظية الخرافات العجائبية والغرائبية، إذا كان يلتمس لها تعليلاً مقبولاً في بعض الأحيان، ثم إنها كانت مجهولة السند فقد استهلها بـ(قالوا) أو (زعموا). تباينت عناصر الأشكال السردية وهي الحدث والشخصيات والمكان والزمان، وكانت أكثر وضوحاً وتفصيلاً في الحكاية.

There is no doubt that Al-Jahiz has his distinguished style of writing. He also has his own mental and intellectual abilities. He is an author and rhetorician. He belongs to Mu'tazilite belief so he is a speaker of this belief. His style is distinguished by a mixture of mental and argumentative one. He has an ability to persuade readers as he writes comically in different topics with different categories either poetic type or prose type. Concerning Al-Jahiz, the variety of narrative forms in the literature is an interesting issue for study. This research deals with the study of narrative types in literature of Al-Jahiz. It is divided into two investigations, before that it prefaces the narrative forms and Al-Jahiz himself. The two investigates are: first one is variety of narrative form which is included real form and unreal form and this type also is subdivided into sleep narrative, mythical and legendary form. It is two types; the unseen and popular myth, then he strange news. The second one is the jest that some scholars believe that it firstly is invented by Al-Jahiz. Afterwards the tale comes which is divided into the humorous and the explanatory (the example) and the riddle tale. Finally, I present a conclusion with the results of this research, then a list of sources and references. The research sums up that the motive for employing these narrative forms by Al-Jahiz is to push the readers away from boredom, as he declares. There is another reason for such mythical, popular, legendary narrative, humorous and enigmatic tales which they are monitored in his society, Al-Jahiz employs the sleep narrative for a political motive, in which undermines the Umayyad state that killed Hussein (peace be upon him). Al-Jahiz's narrations forms are included miraculous and exotic myths, he sometimes gives justifiable explanations beside he always starts this narration with (They said…….) or (They claimed...) in order to make these narrations belong unknown narrators. The elements of his narrative forms have been varied by names the events, characters, places and time. This variation is more clearly detailed in his stories.
