المستخلص: Through this article, we will highlight a little studied area in the work of Naguib Mahfouz; it is his contributions to cinema. Indeed, this Nobel Prize for Literature is known as a novelist and short story writer. But we will discover together one of his scenarios was of a high quality even of a surprising quality. This is the film, "The Alley of Fools" (darb el mahabil). Most of the characters belong to the working class who endure misery through strong religious faith. A dervish wins the lottery. His relationship with the people in his neighborhood will turn to a point where the whole neighborhood would run after him to get part of the kitty. This scenario leaves questions in the minds of the public, about their human condition and their existence.

A travers cet article, nous allons mettre en évidence une zone peu étudiée dans les travaux de Naguib Mahfouz, il s’agit de ses contributions dans le cinéma. En effet, ce prix Nobel de la littérature est connu en tant que romancier et nouvelliste. Mais, nous découvrirons ensemble l’un de ses scénarios étaient d’une grande qualité voire d’une qualité surprenante. Il s’agit du film, « La ruelle des fous » ( darb el mahabil ). La plupart des personnages appartiennent à la classe laborieuse qui supportent la misère grâce à la foi religieuse solide. Un derviche gagne à la loterie. Ses rapports avec les gens de son quartier vont se transformer à un point où tout le quartier courrait derrière lui pour avoir une partie de la cagnotte. Ce scénario laisse des interrogations dans l’esprit du public, sur sa condition humaine et son existence.
