يرصد البحث نسخة ألف ليلة وليلة التي أعدها الأب أنطوان الصالحاني اليسوعي، ونشرها عام 1881 م، متتبعاً المواضع التي أخلت بها هذه النسخة من متن الحكايات، على الرغم من أهمية طبعة الصالحاني في تاريخ النسخ المطبوعة؛ ومن ثم كانت مظنة هذه الدراسة الوقوف على انشغال هذه النسخة بالهم الثقافي السائد في العصر الحديث، والمرتبط بلحظة حضارية من تاريخ النهضة العربية الحديثة، فتجلى ذلك فيما يعالجه البحث من تفصيح الألفاظ وتهذيبها، والوقوف على أمثلة من الحكايات التي غيرت أو أقصيت من المتن؛ لداع قيمي أو ثقافي، وما تجوزه الناشر فيها من تصرف أو هجر لتلك التعابير والألفاظ العامية، وإبدالها بما يقابلها من استعمال فصيح أو مفصح، وجاء الختام بأهم النتائج المشتقة من رحلة البحث في هذا المتن.
This Nights prepared by Father Antoine Al-Salhani Al-Jesuit and published in 1881 AD, tracing the places where this copy of the text of the stories was vacated-despite the importance of the Al-Salhani edition in the history of the printed versions. Hence, the intention of this study is to identify this version’s preoccupation with the cultural concern prevailing in the modern era, which is related to a civilizational moment in the history of the modern Arab renaissance, and this was evident in what the research deals with in terms of clarification and refinement of words, and standing on examples of stories that have been changed or excluded from the text. An ethical or cultural advocate, and what the publisher is permitted to do or abandon those expressions and colloquial terms, and replace them with the corresponding use of eloquent or eloquent of verbal use. The conclusion comes with the most important results derived from the research journey in this text.
