|b The study examines the social and cultural contexts of capitalism and its multiple effects on the common human environmental. Ever since the first industrial revolution, Capitalism has been in direct clash with nature and the workers, considering them as just THINGS. Thus, causing a great deal of misery to humans and nature as it adopted the following principle: «let it pass, let it pollute». Accordingly, the world was transformed into a global universal town under the standard of economic interdependence and capital accumulation to serve societies. The study argues how the capitalist system is an expansionist structure par excellence, as it denies equality and the sincere distribution of opportunities and wealth. The study also points out that governments are not the solution to our problem, in fact they are part of the problem. Arguing that action must be taken especially since global environmental risks, by their nature, challenge communities and transcend national borders.
