المستخلص: يعد حصر وتوثيق النباتات والتعرف على صفاتها المورفولوجية من أهم الوسائل في تحديد أنواعها وخاصة المدخلة، لذلك جاءت هذه الدراسة بهدف حصر وتوثيق تواجد أشجار خف الجمل في مدينة البيضاء وضواحيها في أحد عشر موقعا، ووصفها مورفولوجيا ضمن الظروف المحلية. أظهرت الدراسة المسحية تواجد أشجار خف الجمل نوعBauhinia variegata في أربعة مواقع في مدينة البيضاء (البيضاء المركز -منطقة مسه -شحات -وردامه)، وتم التأكيد على إدخالها إلى ليبيا عام 1990 م، ولم يتم تسجيل تواجدها في (منطقة الحنية -الحمامة -الوسيطة -عمر المختار -اسلنطة -قندولة -قرنادة)، كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة المورفولوجية أنها أشجار زينة متساقطة الأوراق تبدأ مرحلة التزهير في منتصف أبريل وتمتد إلى بداية يونيو يصل ارتفاعها إلى حوالي 9 أمتار، لها جذع متشعب بقطر 230 م، تتميز بأوراق بسيطة متبادلة ثنائية الفصوص مشابهة لخف الجمل، ذات نورات محدودة، والأزهار خماسية الأجزاء ثنائية الجنس أحادية المسكن، تتميز بتويج أرجواني أو بنفسجي المظهر تتبرقش إحدى بتلاته بلون غامق، والأسدية طويلة، والمبيض علوي وحيد الغرفة، والقلم طويل ملتوي منتفخ من الأمام، والميسم كروي، والتميشم حافي، والثمار قرنية بنية اللون، والبذور دائرية مسطحة الوجهين.

Inventory and documenting plants and identifying morphological characteristics are one of the most important means of identifying species plants, especially introduced species, so this study was carried out with the aim of Inventorying and documenting the presence of Bauhinia variegata trees in Al-Bayda city and its environs at eleven locations and describing it morphologically within the local conditions. The survey study showed the presence of Bauhinia variegata trees in four locations in Al-Bayda city (Center Al-Bayda- Massah- Shahat- Wardamah), it was introduced into Libya and confirmed in 1990 AD, However, its presence was not recorded in (Al Haniyah- Al Hamamah- Al Wasitah -Omar Al Mukhtar- Sluntah- Gandulah- Gernadah). The results of the morphological study that it is a deciduous ornamental trees, where flowering begins in the month of mid-April and extends to the first-June, with a height of 9 meters, a forked stem with a diameter of 230 cm, distinguished by simple, alternate, bilobed leaves similar to a camel’s foot shape, with determinate inflorescences, a flowers five-parts, bisexual, monoecious, as characterized by a purple or violet corolla, mottling one of petals are dark in color, long stamens, superior ovary with one locule, long style twisted and swollen from the front, globular stigma, marginal placentation, with a brown horny fruits, seeds are circular and flat-sided.
