|b New upcoming wireless cellular networks aim to support a broad range of multimedia services to Mobile Terminal (MT) with guaranteed Quality of Services (QoS). The continuity of multimedia streams during handoff poses a great challenge. Therefore in this paper, we propose a predictive scheme with more reality assumptions. The proposed scheme integrates the Global Position System (GPS) and Received Signal Strength (RSS) measurement to provide a better QoS guaranties. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated through discrete simulation of realistic wireless cellular environment. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme as compared to the existing schemes is efficient to reduce the Handoff Call Dropping Probability (HCDP), the New Call Blocking Probability (NCBP) and the number of terminated ongoing calls of non-real time traffic. In addition, it is efficient reduce the cancels reservation, the singling overhead and increase the system bandwidth utilization.
