المستخلص: تتناول الدراسة مسألة اللغة والهوية عند المفكر الفلسطيني النشأة الأمريكي الجنسية إدوارد سعيد، للكشف عن حيثيات هذا التعالق بترسيماته المختلفة؛ الاجتماعية والسياسية والنفسية والجمالية، وبما أنتجه هذا التعالق في خطاباته السياسية في المحافل الدولية من متانة الأسلوب وقوة العبارة؛ حيث أحدث امتلاكه لهويتين متنافرتين ولغتين مختلفتين رجحت كفة إحداهما على الأخرى في مفارقة أسهمت في نتائج عديدة، وسارت نحو تحقيق وجودية الهوية العربية الفلسطينية تحقيقا مغايرا عما هو متعارف عليه في خطابات الحرية والنضال الفكري السياسي. سعى البحث إلى الكشف عن كيفية ارتباط الهوية الأصل بلغة الهوية المكتسبة في خطاب المذكرات عند إدوارد سعيد، وتأملاته حول المنفي، والبحث في أسباب ميل إدوارد سعيد لهوية وطن نفي عنه لمدة طويلة والانتماء إليه بلغة المنفي، ثم تكريس حياته العملية والفكرية في النضال من أجل الوطن، وحقيقة تمسكه بلغته الأولى أو تخليه عنها، وماذا شكل المنفي بالنسبة إليه والذي مؤداه إعادته إلى هجعة النشأة الأولى والتحول إلى العمل السياسي المقاوم. وغيرها من التساؤلات التي توجب على الدراسة أن تتناولها بالبحث وعمق النظر؛ من أجل مباحثة سابرة لتلك التساؤلات. وتحقيقا لهذه الغاية جاءت الدراسة في عدد من المحاور التي تجيب عن تساؤلات إشكالية الهوية واللغة، وكيفية تعاضدهما في خطاب السيرة الذاتية عند إدوارد سعيد، ونتائج تحقق هذه العملية الصعبة التي تلت مرحلة طويلة من المخاض قبل ولادتها؛ للوقوف على مظاهر ميزت السرد السير ذاتي في جذوره ونتائجه وغيرها من العناوين المدرجة في متون هذا البحث. وانتهت الدراسة إلى أن خطاب الهوية وتعالقه مع اللغة عند إدوارد سعيد يمثل خطابا جماليا فريدا بشتى جوانبه، ومكتنزا ومعبا بالدلالات والرسائل الضمنية، التي تسفر عن تجليات الذات، والأنا، والهوية، والنضال والمقاومة.

The study deals with the issue of language and identity for the Palestinian thinker, the American upbringing of Edward Said, to reveal the reasons for this connection with its various forms. Social, political, psychological, and aesthetic, and what this connection produced in his political speeches in international forums of the strength of style and the strength of the phrase, as his possession of two heterogeneous identities and two different languages favored the realization of the results of the Palestinian identities, which led to the achievement of the Palestinian identities in the direction of one of them. It is well known in the discourses of freedom and intellectual and political struggle. In a paradox that contributed to many results, and proceeded towards the realization of the existence of the Palestinian Arab identity in a different way from what is known in the discourses of freedom and intellectual and political struggle. The research sought to reveal how the original identity is related to the language of identity acquired in Edward Said’s memoirs discourse, and his reflections on exile, and to search for the reasons for Edward Said’s inclination to the identity of a homeland he has been exiled from for a long time and belonging to it through the language of exile and then dedicate his practical and intellectual life to the struggle for the homeland. And the fact that he adhered to his first language or abandoned it, and what constituted exile for him, which led him to return to the slumber of his first upbringing and turn to political resistance. And other questions that the study had to deal with research and depth of view in order to discuss these questions. To this end, the study came in a number of axes that answer the questions of the problem of identity and language, and how they are intertwined in Edward Said’s biographical discourse, and the results of achieving this difficult process that followed a long stage of labor before its birth, to find out the same aspects that characterized the roots of the narrative walk And its results and other titles included in the text of this research. The study concluded that the discourse of identity and its relationship with language according to Edward Said represents a unique aesthetic discourse in all its aspects, chunky and filled with connotations and implicit messages, which result in manifestations of self, ego, identity, and struggle.
